Everything from whales to giant turtles and even bags of cocaine have washed up along the west Wales coast. But a new item has appeared on a Gwynedd beach this week - a massive spherical buoy.
The huge object has been likened to a “dragon’s egg”. Its appearance has served as a warning of the sea’s “unreal currents” and the danger they pose to swimmers, North Wales Live reports .
Images of the beach-stranded buoy appeared online earlier this week. It’s believed to have washed up on Monday, June 2, carried by a high tide and the “crazy strength of the sea”, after reportedly being on the move at the weekend.
