Plans to demolish former Edinburgh art studios and replace them with two blocks of student flats are set to be granted.

In January we reported how plans were submitted for the demolition of 2-3 West Park Place in Dalry and subsequent erection of two blocks comprising 134 bedrooms, office and amenity space.

The site was initially earmarked for the new development in October 2024 after around 50 tenants were forced to move out of the building the previous year.

Working Artists Studio Provision Scotland (WASPS) was able to buy the property for £1 in 2021 following a 25-year lease of the two former factory buildings from the council.
