The war between Donald Trump and Elon Musk showed no signs of cooling off on Saturday after the president spoke with NBC News and and warned the billionaire to keep his nose out of any upcoming elections.

According to NBC's Kristen Welker who got Trump on the phone, the president said his relationship with Musk is over and he has no interest in attempts to resurrect it, telling the NBC host, "I’m too busy doing other things. I have no intention of speaking to him.”

He did put the billionaire –– who had a major hand in getting Trump reelected in 2024–– on notice that any attempts by Musk to support Democrats against Republicans, who have backed the budget bill that the billionaire has trashed, will come at a cost.

According to the report, Trump stated, "If he does, he’ll have to pay the consequences for that,” before adding, "He’ll have to pay very serious consequences if he does that."

Late Saturday, Musk once again brought up on X the Jeffrey Epstein file which he has linked to the president before deleting it soon after.
