There is chaos at Lisbon airport arrivals - as some people wait more than two hours to pass through passport control. Hundreds of people have been waiting for hours just to show their documents and enter the country, it has been warned.

On Tuesday, there were reports of people waiting for more than two hours, according to reports in the European Union holiday hotspot. Last week, there were reports the delays were taking THREE hours - with some passport scanners going down in an outage.

The new passenger control system that was installed two weeks ago has been blamed. The Internal Security System had already warned that, in the early days, an increase in waiting times would be expected .
