The Washington City Council renewed 12 liquor licenses as part of its consent agenda Monday. The approval was a routine matter for the council, but one that will no longer be part of its routine going forward.

“We have discussed internally how to go ahead and shorten up the process with regards to approving liquor licenses,” City Administrator Darren Lamb told councilmen at their June 2 meeting. ×
