An Omaha native placed first in her age group in the Tunnel to Towers Climb in New York City, climbing over 104 flights of stairs in just 20 minutes.

Health and wellness have always been Amy Gomez's passion, but a life-altering accident threatened her ability to walk.

Back in 2003, Amy Gomez was involved in a car accident that left her in a coma, threatening not only her life, but her passion for fitness. Twenty-two years later, she's not just moving — she's excelling.

Gomez grew up an athlete, playing softball and running track. She even went to college to become a physical therapist. But when she was involved in a car accident at the age of 23, everything changed.
