There’s a changing of the guard at the Marin Registrar of Voters. Veteran Registrar Lynda Roberts will retire on June 30. The new registrar, Natalie Adona, comes from California’s Sierra foothills, where she works both as registrar of voters and elected clerk-recorder in Nevada County.

Roberts leaves a strong legacy. California law is adhered to accurately. Integrity and transparency are office hallmarks. There has never been any claim that the result of any Marin election was arrived at in an irregular manner. The same compliment applies to Roberts’ Marin predecessors.

Those are impressive accomplishments in an era when radical partisans deny the legitimacy of election results.
