WETHERSFIELD, CT (WFSB) - Despite the rain, the Wethersfield Fireworks Display was on full blast at Cove Park.

On Saturday evening, vendors were selling dough, ice cream sundaes, and all the festival staples.

The band, Out Of Orbit, was getting ready to take the stage at 7:00 p.m.

As of 6:00 p.m., there was some hit or miss rain, but many attendees were not phased.

“It’s just water,” said Luis Montoya from Wethersfield.

This event was supposed to take place last Saturday, however it was rescheduled a week later due to rain.

“It [has] been okay, the weather is showing promise that it’ll let up definitely in time for the fireworks. It’s going to be a good show,” said Dan Lapointe, Ocean State Novelties.

The fireworks were scheduled for 9:15 p.m. on Saturday.
