LA CROSSE, Wis. (WBAY) - De Pere’s Grady Lenn set another record while helping lead the Redbirds to a Division 1 state title to highlight the second and final day of the WIAA Track & Field championships.
After setting the Wisconsin state meet record in the 1600 meter run on Friday, Lenn followed it up with a state record time of 8:52:79 to win the 3200 meter run. In the triple jump, Andrew Cartier won his second straight state championship. Those two performances powered the Redbirds to 46 team points, barely edging out 45 from Homestead to come away with the team trophy.
