MLB player prop markets have mostly sharpened beyond any real expectation to beat them at this point. That said, the inherent injury risk of pitching in the majors makes this market far from stable - one flexor strain and the whole thing instantly gets turned on its head.

It kills me to put any negative juju into the universe by bringing up injuries, but it's the obvious 800-pound gorilla in the room. Regardless of how dominant Skenes (or anyone for that matter) has been thus far - it's too early to boast nearly enough cushion to be considered a lock.
For starters, I never pay a premium for any favorite at this point in the season. In this case, I simply can't grasp why the odds aren't tighter up top. Paul Skenes deserves to be a favori
