SIOUX CITY, Iowa (KCAU) — Saturday's nice weather brought families out to Bacon Creek Park for the 29th annual River-cade Youth Fishing Derby.

From 9 a.m. to noon at Bacon Creek, kids were able to be outside and spend time with their loved ones fishing. For $5, kids ages 4 through 12 were provided with a rod, reel, tackle box, shoreline lunch, and a chance to win a bike in the River City Anglers Casting Contest.

The event coordinator said the derby isn't just about catching fish.
