HOBBS, New Mexico-- The Hobbs Police Department is seeking the public's assistance in locating Michael Alonzo Wayne Garcia, 20, who is wanted after a shooting incident that resulted in one death and another person injured on Friday night.

According to HPD, officers arrived on the scene of a shots-fired call in the area of the 800 block of East Lincoln in Hobbs, New Mexico, where they found two individuals with gunshot wounds. EMS arrived and transported both victims to Covenant Health Hobbs Hospital.

One victim was flown to a Texas hospital, where he was later released, and the second victim, Ismael Rios, 19, of Hobbs, succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced deceased.
