MANCHESTER, N.H. —

A Conway man is facing charges after police said they responded to a burglar alarm at a New Hampshire Liquor and Wine Outlet in Somersworth.

The Somersworth Police Department said officers responded to the alarm just after midnight Saturday. When officers arrived, police said they found a broken window and a man inside the building.

Officials said the man, identified as 42-year-old Ryan McDevitt, refused to leave despite officers' commands and later ran out the back of the liquor store.

Somersworth police said officers chased McDevitt and arrested him.

McDevitt was charged with burglary, resisting arrest and simple assault on a police officer. A court date has not been announced.
