Kyle Guerra hit a two-run single in the bottom of the 10th inning Friday to lift the San Rafael Pacifics to a 4-3 home victory over the Dublin Leprechauns.
Guerra’s base hit scored Payton Rios and Blake Diggle after the Leprechauns (6-6 Pecos) had taken a 3-2 lead in the top of the inning. Rios, Diggle, and Keith Whitaker all reached on walks to load the bases for Guerra with two outs.
The win helped the Pacifics (10-1) avenge their only loss of the season so far which came on Thursday night against the Leprechauns.
Pacifics starter Alex Valasek pitched 7.1 innings, allowing four hits and two earned runs against eight strikeouts. Guerra had two of the Pacifics’ six hits. Fred Buckson also drove in a run.
