A natural wine fair in the Haight-Ashbury on Saturday will highlight the work of LGBTQ+ and women importers and winemakers.
The Vinguard’s WineFare runs Saturday from noon to 5 p.m. at the Haight Street Art Center , featuring wine tastings, a discussion promoting vineyard workers’ rights and protections, and a forum on Georgian wine with female winemakers from the country making virtual appearances.
“We always try to use this wine fair to discuss other kinds of social and environmental justice issues as much as we can,” said Louie Seamus, the founder and executive director of the San Francisco nonprofit dedicated to addressing gender discrimination and empowering workers in the natural wine industry.
The wine fair is now in its eighth edition. Last year's event was a two-day affair,
