ST. GEORGE — Two St. George women, shaped by shared experiences of kidnapping, custody battles and family tragedy, have joined forces to start a nonprofit aimed at making a lasting difference.
"Our No. 1 goal has always been to turn tragedy into triumph — all for the sake of the kids," Blue Butterfly House co-founder Suzun Abbott told St. George News.
Abbott said Blue Butterfly House provides supervised visits for children in custody cases, domestic violence situations or when a parent struggles with substance abuse. The nonprofit provides a safe, neutral space, thereby avoiding the discomfort and risks associated with using family members as supervisors. Blue Butterfly House maintains strict neutrality, she added.
