QUINCY, Wash. – A fatal traffic collision in Quincy is under investigation after a high-speed crash on SR281.

According to the report, the collision occurred on June 7 at 3:15 a.m., when two vehicles were traveling northbound at milepost 9. A Toyota Camry, driven by a 36-year-old man, hit the back of a 2023 truck driven by a 58-year-old man from Quincy.

Tragically, the driver of the Camry was pronounced deceased at the scene. It is unknown if a seatbelt was worn. The driver of the truck was not injured and was wearing a seatbelt.

Authorities are still determining if drugs or alcohol were involved in the incident. The investigation is ongoing.
