A 'left turn' ban at a Coventry junction is set to be refused - but a change is still set to be made. There were concerns raised about Treherne Road at its junction with Burnaby Road including speeding.
It led to the city council suggesting a new traffic order - to ban the left turn movement into Treherne Road from Burnaby Road. This, it said, would prevent drivers from bypassing the traffic signals at the Beake Avenue/Burnaby Road junction by using Treherne Road.
But some locals opposed this plan, raising concerns about the left turn ban increasing traffic on other roads. They said that there were better measures to introduce such as speed humps or traffic calming.
