MYRTLE BEACH — Reginald Miller , a Myrtle Beach-area minister and father of embattled pastor John-Paul "JP" Miller, has been hit with a pair of default orders after refusing to respond to two lawsuits that accuse him and his son of covering up the sexual abuse of teens at their ministries.

Filed in February and March, the lawsuits allege the men used their positions as church leaders to exploit vulnerable victims. One woman alleges she was sexually assaulted twice by JP, first in 1998 when she was 15, and then in 2023, a year before his estranged wife Mica's death generated international headlines for the pastor .

In a second lawsuit, another woman alleges she was assaulted by JP after she began attending a private Christian school, Cathedral Hall Academy, run by the Millers in Myr
