SPOKANE, Wash. – Spokane's South Hill was bustling with activity as the bi-annual Friends of Manito plant sale took place Saturday morning. The event offered more than 500 varieties of perennials, vegetables, fruits, shrubs and houseplants.
The sale, which ran from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m., attracted hundreds of gardening enthusiasts eager to add variety to their backyards and gardens.
Funds raised from this year's plant sale will be used to repair the fountain in Duncan Gardens, which has been broken for some time. The next plant sale is scheduled for late August.
