A woman was transported to the hospital after being hit by a car Saturday night in Spokane Valley.

According to the Spokane Valley Fire Department, the 30-year-old woman was walking on a crosswalk at North Argonne Road and East Knox Avenue when she was struck by a car.

The suspect vehicle had reportedly fled by the time authorities arrived on scene.
