ABINDGON, Va. – Abingdon High School senior Aubree Fullen was full of confidence as she readied for yet another pressure-packed postseason plate appearance, knowing that she had been there and done that.

With the bases loaded in the bottom of the sixth inning in a tie game, Fullen certainly wasn’t going to shrink in the spotlight or struggle to put a good swing on the ball as demonstrated by her recent experiences.

“She’s a little stud and I trust her 100 percent when she’s in the box,” said AHS coach Chelsea Campbell. “I said to her before that, ‘Do you want to win this ballgame for us?’ and she said, ‘Oh, I’m going to.’ She did.”
