Kayden and Brayden were the brightest stars among the All-Stars during Saturday's 15th Annual Heart of a Champion Bowl in Tyler.
Kayden Smith, Big Sandy's standout quarterback, and Brayden Trlica, Edgewood's all-around athlete who was playing a new position, were named Most Valuable Players of the game as the Blue rallied for 27-consecutive points in a 27-14 victory over the Red in the Fellowship of Christian Athletes All-Star football game at Christus Trinity Mother Frances Rose Stadium.
The game, played on Earl Campbell Field, was sponsored by Chick-fil-A.
Smith threw for 175 yards and tossed two touchdown passes to earn Offensive Most Valuable Player honors, while Trlica, the basketball and football standout who was playing cornerback instead of his regular safety spot, picked off tw
