Coventry City's Championship rivals Sheffield Wednesday arguably face three pressing issues after it was confirmed they are officially under an EFL embargo for late payment of wages.

Players and staff did not receive wages in full as expected on Friday, May 30, and Monday came and went without promises of payment being delivered. The Sheffield Star reports that the wait continues.

The embargo means that the club can only sign a player if there is no transfer or loan fee involved and they are not allowed to have a squad bigger than 23 players who have made a first team appearance.
