HUBBARD, Ohio (WKBN) -- One person was taken to the hospital following a motorcycle crash in Hubbard early Sunday morning.

It happened on Route 62 near Hubbard-Thomas Road shortly before 3:30 a.m.

Police said two people were traveling south on a motorcycle when they hit a deer, overturning and sliding for a couple of yards.

The driver was taken to the hospital with minor injuries, and the passenger was treated on scene.

Police said they were alerted to the scene from an iPhone crash detection notification.

The southbound lanes of Route 62 were temporarily closed and have since reopened.
