The Issue: The feud between President Trump and Elon Musk following the end of their political alliance.

The unprecedented relationship between President Trump and Elon Musk — from the Tesla founder bankrolling Trump’s return to power, to his unfettered access to the Oval Office and his chainsaw approach to destroying federal programs — has finally come to an end ( “Worst ‘X’ he ever had,” June 6).

Musk is no longer in Washington, but his war of words with Trump quickly devolved into what can only be described as a lover’s spat gone horribly wrong.

You didn’t have to be a psychotherapist or rocket scientist to know this is how their relationship would eventually end.
