A shooting school in the Cotswolds wants to open more often every month to boost its finances. The Ian Coley Shooting School in Andoversford has applied for an extension to the days it can use the site from 12 per month to 24.
It has asked Cotswolds District Council to change its conditions limiting the days it can open at the site near Cheltenham. It says it would keep the operating hours of 9am to 5pm, excluding Sundays and bank holidays.
The shooting school, off the A436, was granted an extension to the shooting ground back in 2019 and said it had complied with all conditions. A statement of justification included in the application says there has been no complaints about noise levels and the biodiversity of the site remains unaffected.
