A small plane crashed on Saturday at the Montreal Metropolitan Airport (MET), located in the Saint-Hubert borough of Longueuil, in the Montérégie region.

The plane crashed on the runway shortly before 1 p.m. on Saturday afternoon.

Few details were available, but it is known that the assistance of the Service de police de l’agglomération de Longueuil (SPAL) was required, as well as the intervention of the fire brigade.

Two men, aged 45 and 21, were on board the aircraft.

“According to the information available at the moment, there were no injuries requiring transport to hospital,” said Sergeant Marie Beaudet of the SPAL.

More fear than harm in the end for the two men.

Airport operations resumed on Saturday.
