Convoy of Hope provides thousands of relief items

Thursday was a day full of relief supplies and hope as the Convoy of Hope traveled from Springfield, MO., to deliver a truckload of cleaning supplies and food items.

First Baptist Church Pastor Mark Schaffner was thrilled to close his week by connecting the citizens of El Dorado with relief supplies. When El Dorado resident and Procurement Director for Convoy of Hope Ashely Jonas called him offering relief supplies, it was an immediate yes.

Jonas quietly works in her remote office in El Dorado for the Springfield-based nonprofit whose mission is to bring hope to those who need it most. Founded in 1994, Convoy of Hope served 14,003,577 pounds of resources to 713,473 people in the United States through 53
