In an interview with the Every Single Album podcast, Miley Cyrus discussed each of her previous albums in her career.

When discussing 2017’s Younger Now, Miley said that she made the album due to feeling pressured by ex husband Liam Hemsworth to town down her image.

Miley said after her and Liam spilt up the first time, she released Bangerz and her image was highly sexualized.

“For ‘Younger Now’, the reason I kind of played into this innocence was because I think it was a way to keep—a way to stay—by being younger now and a less sexualized woman publicly, and this was a way to keep a happy home.”
