A Florida man is accused of murdering his parents and then traveling to another state where he threatened to kill other people.

Nicholas Steven Kirchner, 37, is facing two counts of first-degree murder in the deaths of his parents in Largo, the Pinellas County Sheriff’s Office said in a press release .

The investigation began shortly after 12:30 p.m. Friday during a welfare check at a home on Saunders Avenue for an employee who did not show up to work. Cops entered the home where they found 53-year-old Elizabeth Lee Kirchner and 64-year-old Steven Eric Kirchner dead in the living room from gunshot wounds.
