LINCOLN, Neb. — No. 2 seed Fargo Post 2’s Sam Ovsak singled in the go-ahead run and Post 2 added two insurance runs on an error in the sixth inning to defeat the No. 4 West Fargo Patriots in the Lincoln East tournament championship game on Sunday.

It was an early season matchup between North Dakota’s two top-ranked Legion teams.

No. 2-ranked Post 2 opened the scoring on Wyatt Kosidowski’s RBI sacrifice fly in the first inning, then made it 2-0 in the second when Greyson Dockter led off with a triple and scored on Elijah Enger’s liner to center field.

The No. 1-ranked Patriots got a run back in the third on Trey Husar’s RBI single, then tied it 2-2 in the fifth on back-to-back doubles from Landon Zink and Husar.
