The Washington City Council approved contracts with two companies Monday to upgrade the locks at City Hall to an electronic system that the city government may eventually implement at its other buildings.

The council approved a $25,318 agreement with Chesterfield-based Elliott Data Systems Inc., as well as a $1,056 contract with Olathe, Kansas-based D.H. Pace Company and a $5,000 contingency “to address any unforeseen issues that may arise during installation,” for a total of $31,374. ×
