BOARDMAN, Ohio (WKBN) -- Heavy rain is proving to be an issue for some local residents. It's not only flooding streets and backyards, but also inside their homes.

It's an issue that residents say hasn't happened since 2019, but after Friday's heavy rain, it's a problem that can't be ignored.

"At this point, I'm getting paranoid of what's going to happen. Is my basement going to flood?" said Melanie Timmings, a Huntington Woods resident.

"The rain started and the flooding started occurring, and it just didn't stop for at least an hour," said Greg Pugh, another Huntington Woods resident.
