PAULDING COUNTY, Ga. — One person is dead after a shooting in Paulding County Friday, according to deputies.

In a Facebook post , the Paulding County Sheriff's Office said the shooting happened on Westend Way near Hiram earlier in the evening.

One person died during the incident. Now, deputies are trying to learn what unfolded.

The sheriff's office said the suspect, who left the scene, was located and arrested shortly after the shooting. No other details have been released.
