( 25News Now ) - The final week of the high school sports season is finally here, with 3 Central Illinois teams still in play: Washington and Normal Community baseball, and Pontiac softball.

After allowing zero earned runs in their two sectional games, Washington will play Benet Academy in the 3A Geneseo Super-Sectional, with a berth in the State Final Four on the line.

Normal Community won a 10-8 thriller over O’Fallon at Illinois Wesleyan, and will play there again against Waubonsie Valley, with a trip to Joliet awaiting the winner.

Pontiac is the defending 3A State Champion, and after beating Metamora for the sectional title for a 2nd straight year, will play New Lenox Providence at IWU as well as they look to defend their title.
