Thursday, a man stopped one of our photojournalists to tell him about a long-running problem on his street; after checking out the problem and reaching out, the city said the big hole in the street will finally be fixed.
"This started about four years ago." Dale Hunter was tired of the mess near his home on Freeman Street in Grahamwood. He said the problem started as a big sinkhole. "Called 311, they sent a crew out here within a day or two."
Hunter said the crew did some work to fill the hole and fix the problem, but it didn't last. "They covered it with the steel plate you see in the background. About six months later, they come out to fill it, to seal it; man fall through up to his thigh," Hunter said. "At that point they stopped, said the
