SPOKANE, Wash. – Spokane International Airport will close its primary runway from Monday, June 9, through Wednesday, June 11, from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. each day, the airport said in a release.
During this time, flights will use the secondary runway, leading to increased aircraft traffic over South Hill neighborhoods.
The airport said the closure is for work on Taxiway Alpha, the 11,000-foot path used by commercial and cargo planes.
Despite the closure, there will be no impact on commercial or cargo air service or passenger boarding operations. Scheduled services remain unchanged.
