Donald Trump and California Governor Gavin Newsom were both on social media late into the morning hours on Monday as things reportedly spiraled out of control in Los Angeles.

“Looking really bad in L.A. BRING IN THE TROOPS!!!” the president wrote on Truth Social after midnight.

He followed that up with another post that read, “ARREST THE PEOPLE IN FACE MASKS, NOW!”

Meanwhile, Newsom reshared a post that said that LAPD Chief Jim McDonnell said “This thing has gotten out of control,” when asked if the National Guard was needed.
