GREENVILLE, Pa. (WKBN) -- In an announcement on Friday, Giant Eagle said it will be taking over prescription services from the now-closed Rite Aid in Greenville.

This is the third Rite Aid in Mercer County that Giant Eagle will be taking over prescription services for. The Sharon, Farrell and Hermitage Rite Aids have transferred to the Giant Eagle pharmacy in Hermitage.

The transfer for Greenville Rite Aid users will be this Thursday. Greenville has its own Giant Eagle Pharmacy on Main Street.

According to court documents, the Mercer and Grove City Rite Aids are still undergoing liquidation sales.

Giant Eagle said they will be taking over prescription services from 78 Rite Aid locations across Pennsylvania and Ohio.
