Under the Department for Work and Pensions ( DWP ) Household Support Fund, people can get free washing machines, fridges and kids' beds or £200 towards the cost of energy this summer.

Support available in Blackburn includes crisis food, support for bills if you are the person paying them, a one-time support (only available once), white goods and single beds for children.

Energy efficiency advice is also available for homeowners as well as help for rent, council tax, or utility debts, and support to stay healthy and manage stress.
