Tom Girardi was sentenced to more than seven years in federal prison this week for stealing millions of dollars from his clients.

Girardi, 86, now with dementia and in poor health, was a titan in the mass tort plaintiffs’ bar before his firm, Girardi Keese, collapsed and prosecutors charged him with embezzling settlement funds from his own clients to support a lifestyle featured on “The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills.” On Aug. 27 of last year, Girardi was convicted by a federal jury in Los Angeles.
