Paul Hollywood has confessed to a "bad" moment on the Great British Bake Off that he prefers to "delete" from his recollection.

The 59-year-old rose to fame when he joined Bake Off in 2010. Over the years he has seen bakers and celebrities enter the famous tent.

Amidst a plethora of praiseworthy bakes deserving of what is dubbed the 'Hollywood handshake', several blunders have unfolded over the years. One such contestant not famed for culinary prowess was the comedian Alan Carr.

Alan featured in the celebrity edition in 2018 alongside Desperate Housewives' Teri Hatcher, comedian Aisling Bea, and Paralympian Kadeena Cox. Despite creative intentions, his rendition of characters Zippy, George, and Bungle from Rainbow TV left judges Paul and Prue Leith less than enthralled.
