(WKBN) -- More charges than not were dismissed in the case of a man who authorities stated broke into a police officer's Pennsylvania home and got involved in a physical altercation.
Evan Degaton pleaded guilty to a first-degree felony charge of aggravated assault. A number of other charges in the case, including burglary and resisting arrest, were nolle prossed, meaning they will not be prosecuted.
Court records show he is set to serve three to eight years behind bars and complete a batterer's intervention program. He was also ordered to have no contact with the victim.
