MEMPHIS, Tenn. - The Memphis Pride Fest and Mid-South Pride Parade were canceled on Saturday due to the risk of severe weather, the foundation announced.

The foundation said it did not make the decision lightly but prioritized the safety of the community.

The foundation wrote to social media, "Pride isn’t defined by a single day. It’s in the everyday acts of courage, connection, and care we show each other. It’s in the way we show up for ourselves and for each other, no matter the forecast. We’re already thinking ahead and exploring ways to reconnect soon. In the meantime, stay close to our social channels for updates and next steps."
