WASHINGTON (TNND) — President Trump's legislative agenda, encapsulated in what he calls his "big beautiful bill," faces significant opposition from within his own party.

Chief Republican critics argue that the bill's spending levels must return to pre-pandemic figures.

Senator Rand Paul of Kentucky highlighted the issue, stating, "The first Trump administration passed out 25 hundred checks to everybody. We shut the entire economy down.
