WASHINGTON (TNND) — President Trump's legislative agenda, encapsulated in what he calls his "big beautiful bill," faces significant opposition from within his own party.
Chief Republican critics argue that the bill's spending levels must return to pre-pandemic figures.
Senator Rand Paul of Kentucky highlighted the issue, stating, "The first Trump administration passed out 25 hundred checks to everybody. We shut the entire economy down. During the first Trump administration, $8 trillion in debt was added. During the Biden Administration, $8 trillion in debt was added."
Senator Ron Johnson of Wisconsin echoed these concerns, emphasizing, "We have to address spending. We don't have a revenue problem. We have a spending problem, and this bill just doesn't go far enough to address that pr
