On Sunday evening, just after 7 p.m., members of the Collingwood and Blue Mountains OPP flagged a black Ford Mustang travelling at twice the posted speed limit while driving westbound on Hwy. 26 near Wards Road in the Town of Blue Mountains. Article content

Police stated in a media release that they attempted to conduct a traffic stop, but the driver fled.

A short time later, police, along with The Blue Mountains Fire and Rescue and Grey County Paramedic Service, were called to a motor vehicle collision involving the same black Ford Mustang.
