Over 200 participants, sponsors and volunteers united on Saturday at Trenton High School for the Bay of Quinte Relay for Life. Raising an impressive $55,000, participants flexed with strong community commitment to battling cancer that affects one Canadian diagnosed every three minutes.
Local funds raised support research projects, support programs, and transformative advocacy to build a healthier society.
Active in 29 countries, Relay for Life has raised more than $615 million in Canada since 1999.
According to organizers, this year’s event has grown in participation numbers and has attracted thirty teams registered to participate in the annual fundraiser.
