After an eight-day escapade, a pet zebra was rescued and returned to its home on Sunday in Tennessee, authorities said.
Ed the Zebra first arrived at his new home in Christiana, Tenn., on Friday, May 30, the Rutherfod County Sheriff’s Office said in a news release . The owner reported him missing Saturday morning. That day, he was spotted running across all lanes of Interstate 24 before disappearing into a wooded area.
It was Thursday when Ed was finally seen again. Drone cameras found him spending time in a field near Christiana. On Friday, people gathered to see and take photos of the escaped zebra, scaring him and making capture more difficult; people were asked to avoid the area.
Finally, on Sunday, Ed was captured near Buchanan Estates subdivision near I-24. A crew from Tango 82
