Downtown Belleville was alive with vibrancy on Saturday afternoon as the annual Bay of Quinte Pride Parade took over the streets in a dazzling display of colour, joy, and community spirit. A record number procession of floats, dancers, musicians, and participants on foot made their way past onlookers from the city’s core to the bay side scenic grounds of Zwick’s Park with their rainbow flags flying high.

As the parade arrived at Zwick’s Park, Bay of Quinte Regional Marketing Board Executive Director Dug Stevenson said, “Equity and inclusion are the two most important pillars to society.” Stevenson said, “We want people to live in a place that values everybody and shows everyone they are important. We are here to support not just the LGBTQ+ community but every community alike.”
